“I left home at 2 a.m. and drove all night,” says McKelvey.
“I came down with my Dad, and we were talking about
the guitar giveaway during the drive. We even talked about
what I would play if I got up on stage. I had seen Zappa
Plays Zappa a couple of years ago, and I got one of Dweezil’s
guitar picks at that show. I was holding that pick in my
hand when Dweezil announced the winner. I guess it was
just meant to be!”
