“Here’s a nice sounding acoustic lick,” writes Eli Garcia of Ventura, California, in a bit of an understatement.
Featuring descending McCartney-approved harmonies orbiting around a hypnotically droning open G string (think “Blackbird”), Garcia’s descriptive could easily be upgraded from “nice” to beautiful. And like most great licks, this little etude is quite easy to play. (Tips: The passage also sounds great on electric. Hybrid pickers can play it with a pick-and-fingers approach.)
